The Dean Martin Story Miami Gardens Theatre reviews
Great show!!!
It was a great show all the way around. We live about an hour away, so we left early and got there at 5:30pm when the doors opened. At first it was a little awkward, just because you are so used to having them at all times to keep you "entertained", but it was really nice not having them as an option...felt much more in the moment! The opening act was great, Pete Davison from SNL came out and that was a surprise, then Jon Stewart did his thing, then The Dean Martin Story, and at the end they all got together on stage and talked for a bit and took some questions from the audience. It gave us plenty of time to have some drinks and wander around a bit. The show was supposed to start at 7pm but I think didn't actually begin until 7:30pm or so? Not sure since I didn't have my phone to tell the time...we didn't get out of there until almost 11pm. I love love loove Jon Stewart; I'm so glad I got to see him on stage!! We decided to just leave ours in the car so we didn't have to carry them around all night in the Yondr pouches. I had been to the Smart Financial Centre previously for a concert up in the balcony, and I don't know that I would do that again. The sections aren't well labeled up there either. Aside from that, the bartenders were fast, and even running to the bathroom during the show as a breeze, although I wish I didn't have to! It was a no cell-phones allowed show, which I was pretty excited about to be honest. There are no bathrooms or food/beverage services on the 3rd floor and its very dark when trying to find your seat. We were on the first floor and had great seats in section 103. Hysterical show...I heard the one they scheduled after wards was cancelled, I can only assume due to them running over. All in all, love the venue, would definitely go see them again!!!
